LAGUNA PHUKET FOUNDATION

The Supersports Laguna Phuket Marathon 2023 continues to build on the charitable success of the past marathons with runners encouraged to raise money for charity through the “Laguna Phuket Foundation”.

プーケット国際マラソン大会は、ラグーナ・プーケット財団と提携しています。2009年に設立されたこの財団は、地域共同体の教育及び社会開発を援助し、また海洋・自然の環境保全そして緊急救済にも貢献しています。

同財団は、開発持続的な学校プログラムを推進していますがその中には、学校パートナーシップ・プログラムやラグーナ・プーケットによるサバイバル・スイム・プログラムそしてラグーナ・プーケットの“本日貸し切り”モバイル学習センターなどが含まれています。さらに同財団は、プーケット海洋生物学センター、タイ王国海軍の第3区海洋部隊、ラグーナ・プーケット共同体英語センターの取り組むウミガメ保存も支援しています。

Furthermore, the event was a platform to raise awareness and funds for “Children First Fund” (CFF), with an ideal of “Nourishing Hearts, Inspiring Dreams” to support the nutrition of needy children. CFF supported more than 400 orphans and underprivileged children in seven orphanages in Phuket.
