Travelling to Phuket by Air
Phuket is one of the world’s most popular travel destinations.
The Phuket International Airport is the main access point for visitors, both from within Thailand and abroad. There are direct international flights from Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, China, Korea, Turkey, Russia and the Middle East and more than 40 daily flights from domestic destinations in Thailand.
Airport Transfer Options
Metered Taxis
The cheapest non self drive option in Phuket are the red and yellow metered taxis. At the airport look for the metered taxi counter outside the arrival hall. The charge will be by meter plus a THB 100 airport surcharge payable directly to the driver. The one way meter fare to Laguna Phuket is approximately THB 380 plus the THB 100 surcharge.
Airport Limousine
Airport limousines and minivans for bigger groups are available at counters inside the airport. These charges a fixed fare depending on destination and car size. A normal car will cost approximately THB 700 to Laguna Phuket.
Rental Car
The most convenient, independent and cost-effective way of getting around in Phuket is a rental car. All major car rental companies have a station at Phuket International Airport. Advance bookings are strongly recommended. Daily rental prices can be as low as THB 790 per day.
